Plan bee in the Twin Cities

Nestled in community gardens near the Mississippi River, teens and Wells Fargo Green Team Minnesota volunteers created 21 “pop-up” gardens. Working with the Minnesota Arboretum, these four-foot plots assisted bees along a “pollination corridor” in Minneapolis, provided meaningful work experiences for urban youth, and educated them on the importance of healthy eating.

Wells Fargo Green Team members also mentored these youth through the Hands on Banking® program and in career development, and presentation skills — which resulted in 5,000 conversations that educated their community. At summer’s end, the Green Team members helped the kids “winterize” the pop-ups.
