Deals on tuition

Did anyone else see this? National Louis University in Chicago is using Groupon to offer a 60% discount for an introduction to teaching course this fall.

Now, I’m all over using Groupon to find new restaurants and getting some cheap massages, but using it for college? Woah! That’s something different. I have some mixed emotions, because a college class isn’t a one-off purchase. It’s part of a broader purchase—a total college education—which you should consider very carefully (i.e. not let a coupon drive your decision).

I’m curious: Would you be interested in a tuition deal through Groupon? Take the poll to let us know!

Would you buy a “deal” on a college class?

P.S. The offer goes live tomorrow, so if you’re interested in a graduate degree in teaching at National Louis University, I’m just sayin’.

I would, but is there a Groupon available on the West Coast? I’m from Portland, OR.
